Syllabus Description:

This is the graduate level course in Classical Mechanics, held online this year.  Usually the final exam in this class is part of the Physics Master Review Exam.  What will happen to this is a Departmental decision. Our class will be held whether there is or there isn't a final exam in the end.

Pre-requesites for the class are a bachelor degree in Physics including an advanced (junior or senior level) classical mechanics class, or an equivalent qualification. 

Classical mechanics is the pillar of all of Physics. Newton's laws are a theory of almost everything and are the departure point for almost all Physics we encounter on a daily basis. A special emphasis will be given in this course to the principles and mathematical constructions relevant to modern physics.
