Get Involved

There are many ways you can get involved, support, and stay connected with the UW Department of Physics community. You are welcome to:

Submit

• an alumni or student news item here.

Receive

• our quarterly newsletter, the Physics Observer;
• notices of occasional public lectures and special events, by signing up here;
• our weekly or daily seminar announcements, or seminar announcements in specific areas, by subscribing to selected mailing lists here;
• our RSS news feed.

Attend

any of our upcoming events including:

• our weekly colloquia, generally on Mondays at 4pm;
• many research seminars;
• the bi-annual Frontiers of Physics Public Lectures.

Participate

in various student organizations:

• Society of Physics Students (SPS);
• Physics Graduate Student Council (PGSC);
• Graduate of Color in Astronomy and Physics (GCAP);
• Physicists for Inclusion and Equity (PIE).

Support

the Department of Physics:

• by making a contribution to the Friends of Physics Fund, or other funds which have been established to support our students and programs;
