Welcome to PHYS 576 A and D sections (Fall 2018). This course aims to introduce you to the amazing world of radio-frequency wave properties in a practical manner. We will develop the tools to understand applications that will be addressed during the last two weeks of class: searching for new physics via the muon magnetic moment, nuclear magnetic resonance, determining the neutrino mass, searching for new physics in nuclear beta decay, and searching for axions.
You are assumed to have working knowledge of basic E&M theory (as described, for example, in Griffith's textbook on E&M). For information about texts, homeworks, exams and grading see COURSE INFORMATION (which is also on the "Pages" link).
