IKKT matrix models and holography

I’ll review some recent work on the polarized IKKT matrix model and its holographic dual by Hartnoll and Liu (arXiv:2409.18706) and Komastu et. al (arXiv:2410.18173, arXiv:2411.18678) as well as some work in progress in collaboration with Christoph Uhlemann and Eric D’hoker.
