Persistent Spin Helix State in III-V and Layered Semiconductors
Waves possess distinctive properties, including diffraction and interference, which differentiate them from the particle nature of electrons currently utilized for binary and sequential data processing and storage. In the solid state, wave properties manifest in electron spin waves in semiconductors or magnons in magnetic materials. From this perspective, we undertake a detailed examination of how electron spin waves and magnons can be employed as information carriers for processing and storage, ultimately leading to the emergence of "spin-based wave-parallel computing
