The Climate and Diversity Committee at the University of Washington Physics Department is excited to extend an invitation to our upcoming workshop dedicated to supporting Underrepresented Groups and First-Generation Students in STEM. This event will take place on May 3, 2024, and promises to be an enlightening and enriching experience for all participants.

The workshop will feature insightful talks and engaging panel discussions, providing a platform to address the unique challenges faced by Underrepresented Groups in STEM fields. Attendees will have invaluable opportunities to network with peers and professionals while exploring solutions to current issues surrounding diversity and inclusion in academia.

We warmly welcome all undergraduates, graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, staff, and faculty to join us for this empowering workshop. Your presence and contributions will undoubtedly contribute to fostering a more inclusive and supportive environment within our department and beyond.
