EFT for de Sitter Space

I will discuss recent progress in understanding perturbative quantum field theory in de Sitter and inflationary backgrounds using Soft de Sitter Effective Field. I will explain why loop corrections and IR divergences have previously presented serious challenges and show how they are resolved in the EFT description. I will apply these lessons to scalar field theory in de Sitter and metric fluctuations during inflation.
