The Advanced Physics Laboratory at Intellectual Ventures is engaged in long-term research across several platforms covering imaging, energy, and biochemical sensing. Our efforts are focused on disruptive technologies that may potentially have significant economic and humanitarian impact. This seminar will provide an overview of our laboratory and discuss three projects: cold electron-emissive surfaces, large-scale 2-dimensional chalcogenides (MoS2) synthesis, and detection of disease biomarkers through phonon-based plasmonics. Our laboratory is supported by the Invention Science Funds at Intellectual Ventures.
