A New Look At Knots and Quantum Mechanics

Two-dimensional conformal field theory is related to gauge theory in three dimensions in a way that is important in condensed matter physics and knot theory, and also has applications in string theory. In this talk, I will explain a new twist on this tale, involving a relationship to gauge theory in four dimensions.
